Founded in 2011 with a strong reputation, expertise in real estate investment, and professionalism founder Steve Ross started R&F Commercial Debt and Equity in response to the challenges in the national real estate market and subsequent opportunities that have been created as its by-product.

Steve Ross
Founder Principal & President
Mr. Ross has been a top real estate professional in the Washington, DC metro area for over 20 years & has been responsible for originating, funding & managing over $300,000,000 in real estate transactions. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Steve’s extensive resume includes licensed Realtor, new home sales manager, mortgage banker, construction lender and portfolio manager. Having been involved in nearly every type of real estate transaction, his experience, resourcefulness and contacts have already paid dividends at R and F Commercial. He is an active member of the Real Estate Finance Committee for the Northern Virginia Builders Association & lives in Clifton, Virginia with his wife and three children.
John A. Rubino
Director of Business Development
Mr. Rubino is a native of Brooklyn, NY & currently resides in Burke, VA with his wife & four children. John is a graduate of SUNY Maritime College and recently completed a 20 year career as a Naval Aviator & Officer stationed at the Pentagon. In addition to his career as a Navy Pilot, John has significant experience and success as a real estate investor & consultant. In 2013 John founded & currently serves as COO of JID Investments LLC (JIDI). In this role he manages a $12.3M debt & equity investment portfolio of residential single family & mix residential/retail condominium conversion/development projects for 75 investors with revenue growth of almost $6.4M (actual and projected). John will continue to manage JIDI together with executing his responsibilities at R&F. John’s insights & expertise gained while working at JIDI will provide R&F several opportunities to expand and grow inside both the debt & equity real estate markets.
